What is the single best way to save some money on your wedding?? Choose a non-Saturday date! Most vendors will offer you a discount, and in fact, many venues will give you a fairly substantial discount! Some vendors also do an off-season discount, so consider a date in the winter, too. If have an “off” date and vendors don’t offer you a discount right away, don’t be afraid to ask! I’ve photographed a number of elegant Friday evening events as well as relaxed Sunday afternoon weddings too! And, definitely, love some of the winter weddings I have done!
Although it can be a bit stressful, planning last minute can also work to your advantage! If I get an inquiry about a date that is just a few months away, I consider it a date I would not otherwise book so I am willing to make a bit of a deal sometimes.
