Where do I begin with this wonderful wedding? Carmen and Brad were so great to work with! I know, I say that about all of my couples, and it’s true! I really feel blessed to work with such amazing couples! Carmen and Brad are both attorneys and met while working (on opposing sides, I might add!) on a very high profile case in the area. Jema and Carson were so much fun – very laid back and easy to work with! They had a beautiful wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral and reception at The Brownstone. We planned to stop for photos at the Arboretum in between, and it started raining as we were driving there. But, they were definitely troopers and didn’t let it stop us!

I greatly enjoyed being a part of this wedding! Kelly and Bill were great to work with, as were both of their families. In fact, Bill’s family reminded me a bit of my own, and I have even been able to get some great parenting advice from his mom since the wedding! Yay! I was literally in tears during the mother/son dance, and had to download the song, Child of Mine by Carol King, right away! Also, Kelly was referred by another awesome bride from earlier this year, Mary, so it was fun to see many of the same people again! And, of course, I love referrals So thank you again, Mary! I am working on the images from Kelly and Bill’s beautiful wedding right now, but wanted to share a few images of Kelly from her bridal session. She is just the cutest bride! It always amazes me though, that somehow, my brides look gorgeous in their bridal sessions but even more amazing on their wedding day. Maybe it’s the glow of excitement and happiness that just radiates on the actual day!

This was officially the hottest wedding of the year! But, it was a beautiful backdrop right on Lake Johnson. And, Melissa and Kevin were so laid back and fun! Now, I had been warned that Kevin did not smile and was not photogenic, and it’s common, many men do freeze up in front of the camera. But my natural style, and quiet, relaxed approach, really lends to making them feel comfortable. And, I think we got some pretty good shots of Kevin! But first, a few of the gorgeous bride…

I know, it’s so hot outside, but it’s time to start thinking about holiday portrait sessions! September weekends are booked already! (With the exception of Sunday September 20th which is available in Indianapolis.) I do have some September weekday availability though in both Indy and North Carolina. I have a few weekend sessions still open in October and November in North Carolina only, but please contact me soon if you’d like one! They’ll go fast! Weekdays in October and November are still fairly flexible.

Kim and Chris had a wonderfully intimate wedding at La Residence in Chapel Hill. From our first meeting, I knew I would thoroughly enjoy working with them. Of course, I found their friends and family (Kim is Greek!) equally great to work with.

Definitely lots of laughter throughout the entire event!

It was also Kim’s parents’ anniversary, and the best man from their wedding gave a toast before they cut their own cake!

I really enjoyed meeting Caroline and Marshall and being a part of their wedding! Caroline is from Brazil, and yes, like the stereotype that Brazilian women are gorgeous, she definitely is! Their wedding took place at St. Thomas More in Chapel Hill. I had not been there before, and it was just a wonderful church with nice lighting, beautiful grounds, and just a fabulous staff! The reception was small and intimate, and held at Chamas Brazilian Steakhouse in Brightleaf Square…YUM!!

Back to the beautiful bride…I loved her dress, and her flowers.
