I have really enjoyed the opportunity to do quite a few urban sessions lately. Jose is an incredibly talented artist, and art teacher, so he had an eye for good spots as well. The Durham Tobacco Campus was a great spot for this shoot. Our session was threatened by a lot of wind and a little rain, but we were able to wait it out and it cleared up!

It was a bit of a challenge to get these boys all in one place at one time! And, it had rained the day before, so they definitely managed to get muddy. But, that’s what is so great about being a boy! They also have a sweet baby sister who was just as happy as could be!

It’s so great to photograph older kids every once and a while too! They always have input on the shoot, and it’s fun to use their ideas! And LOVE this shirt – it’s from Spiral Graphics in Apex, and a super good deal. Seriously, they will put a number on a shirt you bring for $5, or they have shirts available too! Happy Birthday, Z!

Family in town visiting is a great opportunity for a portrait session! I have done quite a few of these this Spring, and it is wonderful to do the entire group and then individual portraits of each family. The twins in this session are brand new, and so tiny! They were just a few weeks old, so with that, and such a large group, we didn’t want to travel far from home, so we did this session at the entrance to their subdivision and it worked out nicely. So, keep that in mind! There are many beautiful spots in the area, but if you want to stay close to home, we can definitely figure it out!

This little guy was just so sweet and happy! He had fallen asleep in the car on the way to the Arboretum, so when his parents went to wake him up to start pictures, I was a little worried. Usually waking up baby = grumpy! But not this little one! He looked confused for about 30 seconds and then began smiling!

I have been photographing tons of twins lately! It’s wonderful! I come from a family with lots of twins and I have always been intrigued by their connections. Anyway, these two were super cute, and their big sister is pretty adorable too! I love the curls and the frilly dresses…

To those who are waiting for your proofs to be online! My online gallery is running extremely slowly! It is taking 2-3 days to upload and process, when it normally can be done overnight. And to top it off, they did some maintenance on the site this weekend that disrupted one of my uploads. So, I apologize and promise they are coming as soon as possible! I will try to get some sneak peeks up on the blog soon too!
