It was my sister’s birthday this weekend, although we were partying so hard in Florida, and then in Charlotte, that we didn’t get to spend it with her

Winter sessions can be so much fun! This sweet little girl turned one last week and we celebrated with a rather chilly photo session. She was definitely a trooper though and smiled the whole time. Of course she looked adorable all bundled up – red little nose and all! As I’ve said before, I love generation shots. Definitely, if you have the opportunity, get the grandparents involved!

to this…
My baby is 4 today! For some reason this birthday has been really emotional for me. He is so grown up. He’s definitely not a baby any more. He loves Star Wars and knows all the characters; he can identify all the different species of sharks and tell facts about each; he can recognize his own name when he sees it written; he loves art and playing outside; he can swim and play soccer; his imagination is the most incredible thing on the planet, and his memory is pretty incredible, too. He’s not a baby, but he’ll always be my baby.

This family recently moved to the area from Seattle, so they were very excited to have some sunshine for their holiday portrait session! Of course, I’m always looking for shade, but being at the “edge” of the shade with a touch of sun is just perfect…

It’s time for the BABC Charity Gown Sale again! It really is a great event, and an awesome opportunity to find a fabulous designer dress at a fraction of the price. The sale features designer gowns donated by manufacturers, retailers, designers and individuals. Some are previously loved and some are brand new. All are at a great discount! And, best of all, proceeds go to benefit Brides Against Breast Cancer! This year there will be a VIP fashion show on Friday night ($30) and then the sale is open to brides on Saturday and Sunday.
